Yesterday, our fantastic Year 3s completed their Music unit, “Developing Singing Technique”, and what a journey it has been!
Throughout the unit, the children have been working hard to sing in time with others, developing their confidence and teamwork skills. They have also needed to recognise and use simple rhythmic notation to help them compose and perform their very own Viking song!
We are so proud of how they’ve grown as performers – showing great focus, enthusiasm and creativity. 🛡️🎵
Please take a moment to enjoy their wonderful singing and celebrate their achievements with us! 👏🎥
It was also lovely to see so many parents there to watch their children perform. Thank you for your continued support.

This afternoon, Year 3 have been doing some wonderful activities to mark 'Children's Mental Health Week.' This year the theme centred around 'this is my place' and belonging. We had discussions around how we can ensure everyone feels safe and happ and also about what makes St. Mary's a welcoming place to be. We then made mosaics based on what was meaningful to us.

Year 3 had a fantastic time on NSPCC Number Day, learning and practising the dance moves to 5, 6, 7, 8! 💃🕺 Maths, music and movement all rolled into one – lots of smiles and great counting skills on show!
