Today, Year 2 started to learn about what a seed needs to grow. To test their findings, they are going to observe their seeds weekly and record this in their bean diaries. #sciencestm #workingscientifcallystm #year2stm … See MoreSee Less

Year 2 have had a great afternoon planting broad beans in our science lesson. We will be observing them over time to see how they grow. We now know that plants need water, sunlight and warmth to grow so we will be investigating what happens to one that is kept in the dark! #year2stm #sciencestm … See MoreSee Less

Year 2 have had a great afternoon exploring our local area. We have used the geographical skill of observation to spot key features that we would see on a map. We used a checklist and marked them off as we went around. #geographystm #fieldworkstm #year2stm … See MoreSee Less

Year 2 have had a great afternoon sharing their most recent Art project to the Reception children in our outdoor reading area.
Our current Art unit is called ‘Tell a story’ and the children have been focusing on their drawing techniques to be able to convey emotions of characters. From this, they have created their very own character and story board.
The children used their oracy skills to share their story and then went on to look through their sketchbooks to share all of the art skills that they have learnt over the year.
We finished our afternoon off by reading a story by the reading huts to our new friends. #year2stm #artstm #oracystm #receptionstm #readingstm … See MoreSee Less
