Thank you to the parents who took parent on our Year 2 Celebration of the Word on Tuesday. Zane and Serah led it beautifully and all the children and parents were reverent and respectful.
We then had our Storytime session, reading The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch #readingforpleasurestm #year2stm #parentstm

Those pesky seagulls!! 🪶🚣 Today, Year 2 became detectives investigating a crime scene. They had to work through the clues to find out who had their lunch stolen by the naughty seagulls. We then worked through our clues to work out what the victim (Mr Grinling) looked like and why the seagulls keep targeting his lunch. This links to our English text, The lighthouse keeper’s lunch. We all had a great morning becoming detectives and finding all the secret clues! 🕵🏼♀️🔍 #englishstm #year2stm … See MoreSee Less

Year 2 took part in an exciting opportunity for local history week. We explored who Philip Astley was, how he created the modern day circus and learnt some amazing circus skills. We hoola hooped, spun plates and used a diablo. What a fabulous afternoon 🎪🤡 #year2stm #historystm … See MoreSee Less

Year 2 had a brilliant time at Brampton museum taking part in a Florence Nightingale workshop. We enjoyed listening all about Florence’s life as a nurse and even got to put bandages on as if we were soldiers and nurses in the Crimean war. Thank you to the PTFA for funding part of the trip and thanks to the parents for the remaining contribution. #historystm #year2stm #ptfastm … See MoreSee Less

Last week, Year 2 had the pleasure of visiting the local library. We listened to Terry read Class two at the zoo before exploring the books on offer. Those with a library card were able to borrow a book to take home. Staffordshire Libraries thank you for a fabulous afternoon reading! #readingstm #year2stm … See MoreSee Less
