As part of our Black History Month celebrations, Nursery have been learning about Bob Marley and his message of love, peace, and unity. We talked together about what love means and shared ideas on how we can show love and kindness to each other every day.
We also listened to Bob Marley's music and used it as a fun way to practise our gross motor movements, moving and dancing to the rhythm during our flapper sessions.
To finish our learning, we painted beautiful hearts to remind us of the special symbol of love.

Last week, Nursery read the story Pumpkin Soup which inspired lots of exciting activities! 🍲
In Nursery, we have been busy practising our fine and gross motor skills by exploring all things pumpkin – playing with them in gloop, giving them a good scrub, scooping out the insides and investigating the seeds. We even got creative by stamping with pumpkin tops, hammering golf tees into the skin and scrunching paper to decorate our very own pumpkins!
We thought about all the tasty ingredients that go into pumpkin soup and practised chopping potatoes and pumpkins too. Finally, we got to taste some delicious pumpkin soup ourselves!
We had so much fun exploring, creating and learning! 🧡
