Year 5 had an out of this world start to their new Science unit today. After learning about all of the planets, they worked scientifically to then create a model of our solar system ensuring that the planets were sized, coloured and ordered correctly. #year5stm #sciencestm … See MoreSee Less

During today’s Science lesson the children retrieved facts about mammals. They listened to professor Marquez and his ideas about how animals are mammals if they have tails. The children used their Oracy skills to discuss and build upon this . Oracy stem sentences helped them to explain why they agreed or disagreed with Professor Marquez. We held a class debate and in pairs the children presented their ideas using scientific vocabulary and facts. Take a look at our ideas. #year1stm #sciencestm #oracystm … See MoreSee Less

This afternoon, Year 4 have been presenters of the ‘Super Science Show’. During the penultimate lesson of their Sound unit, they used their Oracy skills to explain how different levels of water can vary the pitch – making it higher or lower. As presenters, they were tasked with speaking clearly and enthusiastically to engage the audience. 🗣️ #year4stm #sciencestm #oracystm … See MoreSee Less

This half-term, Year 6 have been designing and making their own steady hand games. They have had to select useful components to create a series circuit which would emit sound when the wire was touched. They loved every minute of it!
