Oak Academy – Online Learning
Oak Academy are an online classroom and resource hub created by teachers, for teachers. Their aim is to support teachers to support their pupils. They provide a bank of high-quality, sequenced video lessons and resources for our teachers to use as they wish. They cover a range of subjects including maths, English, art and languages.
Teachers can use these resources to complement their own lesson planning and remote teaching until schools fully re-open. Every lesson will be free to use for every teacher and every pupil. To find out more please see our information for teachers and schools or information for parents and pupils.
The Oak National Academy Site provides high quality daily home learning resources for the children. There is a section for all year groups in the main menu and it has resources for English, Maths, Foundation subjects and P.E. There are lessons to follow with video clips. These can be done daily or weekly and would give structure to your home learning. If you would prefer to follow a sequence of lessons from day to day, simply click on the Oak National Academy image, then select online classroom from the menu. Click on schedule and choose the relevant year group to find the lessons for the chosen week and day. It really is as easy as that!
Please take a look and enjoy learning with your child using this online resource. The videos are recorded and may need to be paused to give the children time to do their work. Simply set your child up with paper and a pencil and the online teacher will do the rest!
