The children in Year 4 looked at the use of the land around the school as part of their geography fieldwork day. They learnt how to use 4 figure grid references before looking at the history of the area and discovered that the school is built on the site of an old castle! #geographystm #year4stm … See MoreSee Less

Absolutely love how much time this school invests in taking learning out of the classroom. 👏🏻 👏🏻
Great
🌍Part two of Year 6’s trip to Lyme Valley involved asking the general public to complete surveys, created by the class, about the local area. The surveys focused on why people came to Lyme Valley, how they got to Lyme Valley, what they enjoyed about the park and what they would improve.
In total, the children managed to interview a whopping 51 members of the public! After collecting the data, using Google Forms, we analysed it and shared our opinions on the findings. A huge thank you to anyone who stopped to complete our survey. Check out some of the results!🌍

Wow, great work year six!
Year 1 have had a fantastic fieldwork day as geographers, observing and collecting information to help us to understand seasonal changes. They sorted leaves, completed a tally chart and presented their findings to the rest of the class. #year1stm #geographystm … See MoreSee Less

Fabulous autumn fun 😁
🗺️Today, Year 5 visited The Brampton Park and Queen Elizabeth park to conduct an enquiry into human and physical geography.
As we walked round, we discussed what made something human or physical geography and it wouldn’t have been a trip to The Brampton without a little play on the park! We then drew maps to identify the various features and which category they belong to. When we returned to school, we compared and contrasted both locations and discussed their similarities and differences. 🗺️
